The Mazda Advanced Impact Distribution and Absorption system has evolved to offer maximum protection in the event of an accident. Built around a unique triple H structure, it disperses impact energy and resists deformation in all conceivable collisions.

Inside the car, driver and passenger safety is maintained with a combination of protective measures. These include an airbag system with driver and front passenger airbags, side airbags and front seat belt pre-tensioners and a collapsible steering column.

ISOFIX anchors are fitted in both sides of the rear seat to enable quick easy and secure installation of child seat. The related tether anchors are located on the parcel shelf.

Ultimate protection

First of all, your key is fitted with a transponder that transmits an identification code to activate the engine. Without this key, the engine will not start.

For added security, a four-digit code can be entered to engage the radio anti-theft system.

All models are fitted with a Thatcham category 1 burglar-alarm system that includes an intrusion sensor arrangement enabling the system to detect intrusion through the windows as well as intrusion through other areas of the car.
