The Mazda5 petrol version is equipped with a dynamic 1.8(115ps) engine. This is the popular MZR series in-line-four-cylinder, 16-valve models with a 5-speed manual transmission , featuring heightened linear acceleration, a lively response and strong low-end torque delivery. Fuel-wise, not only does the car deliver an efficient fuel consumption, but it also provides a world-class emissions performance that complies with Euro 4, the severest emissions regulations in Europe.

Aerodynamics

State-of-the-art technological testing procedures were behind our aerodynamic design. We were determined to develop an economical, stable and silent ride. And we did. Every single aspect of our exterior design is optimised for aerodynamic efficiency - for example the front bumper is shaped to smooth airflow. The result? Chassis and suspension

It's all about maintaining a balance. The Mazda5 has excellent stability and precision with no sacrifice on driving comfort. The chassis creates a relaxing, family-friendly drive with the emphasis on gentle, smooth control. We've very high steering response levels, and there's a natural feel to your drive thanks to our Electro Hydraulic Power Assist Steering (EHPAS) system, which has already been successful on Mazda's award winning sports car, the Mazda RX-8. Reassuringly, this adapts to match the driving conditions. Less noise and less vibration: meaning more fun inside the car.

Brakes

The Mazda5 features responsive and linear braking. Our optimally tuned disc brakes are responsive and easy to control, which means extra driver confidence. This gripping performance is down to that famous Mazda design DNA, with Antilock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) fitted as standard. Whatever the driving conditions, and however many of you are on board, you know that this is a car you can always rely on.
