Privacy Information regarding the use of the accessiBe Accessibility Widget

We use the accessiBe accessibility widget to enhance digital accessibility of our website for users with disabilities. This AI-powered tool continuously scans and adapts the website in order to improve usability and compatibility with assistive technologies.

accessiBe operates in the background and automatically applies structural accessibility improvements without requiring user interaction. These enhancements include:

  • Generating meaningful alternative text (alt tags) for images using AI-based object recognition and OCR.
  • Optimizing heading structures for semantic consistency and assistive navigation.
  • Adding ARIA labels and roles to UI components such as buttons, modals, and navigation elements.
  • Providing clear labeling and validation for form elements.
  • Adapting site behavior to screen readers and prompting users to activate screen-reader mode on entry.
  • Enhancing keyboard navigation with logical tab order and keyboard shortcuts.

In addition to these passive, AI-driven enhancements, accessiBe offers a user-facing accessibility interface, which can be activated at any time via the floating widget icon. This interface allows users to apply real-time visual and functional adjustments to tailor the website experience to their individual needs. The available customization options include:

  • Accessibility profiles: such as “Seizure Safe Mode,” “Vision Impaired Profile,” “Cognitive Disability Profile,” “ADHD Friendly Mode,” and profiles optimized for screen readers or keyboard navigation.
  • Content display settings: adjustments to font size and family, text spacing, alignment, zoom level, and line height.
  • Color and contrast controls: including dark, light, high contrast, monochrome, and custom color themes.
  • Orientation and focus tools: such as reading guides, text magnifiers, cursor size changes, audio muting, content highlighting, and animation pausing.

To deliver these services, accessiBe processes technical data such as image and link URLs, page structure, and interaction behavior. This processing is strictly limited to what is necessary for accessibility functionality and does not involve tracking, analytics, or advertising.

accessiBe operates as a data processor on behalf of Mazda under a GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreement. Data may be processed on servers located in the United States.
